This recipe is a danish cake among the very best, for your home kitchen.
250 Gram wheat flour
250 Gram sugar from sugarcane
50 Gram butter
200 Gram milk
2 Teaspoon raising agent
1 Teaspoon vanilla sugar
For the filling:
150 Gram butter
100 Gram milk
275 Gram brown sugar
200 Gram grated coconut
Firmly whip the sugar with eggs. Melt the butter in milk, let it cool off, so not too warm, - lukewarm.
Add it to the egg/sugar.
Mix in a separate bowl the flour with the raising agent and vanilla. And stir it in, with the rest.
Put baking paper in a baking dish, and pour the mixture in it.
Now put it in the oven at 200°C, and let it bake for about 25 minutes. Meanwhile, you can make the filling. Start by melting the butter in the milk. Add the brown sugar, heat it up to boil, and stir in the grated coconut.
When done, take out the cake, and pour over the filling, in an even layer. And put it back in the oven, for about 10 minutes more. When done, take the cake out and let it cool. Ready to eat.
